Sleep coaching for Newborns
(0-3 months)

Congratulations on the newest addition to your family! As you embark on this incredible journey of parenthood, it's natural to feel a mix of emotions – from overwhelming joy to a touch of apprehension.

Whether you're a first-time parent or welcoming another little one into your family, we understand the excitement and the challenges that come with caring for a newborn.

At Night Night, we're here to support you every step of the way through those precious first few weeks of your baby's life. We recognise that each family is unique, and every baby has their own set of needs and preferences. That's why our approach to newborn sleep consulting is tailored to fit your specific circumstances and goals.

Our aim isn't just to get your baby to sleep through the night (although that's certainly a wonderful outcome!), but rather to help you lay the groundwork for healthy sleep habits that will benefit your child for years to come.

our newborn (0-3 months) sleep coaching package

  • We'll start by getting to know your family dynamics and your baby's individual needs through a detailed questionnaire. This allows us to create a personalised sleep plan that suits your lifestyle and parenting style.

  • You'll receive 1-2 hours of dedicated consultation time to review your customised sleep plan and address any questions or concerns you may have. We're here to provide guidance and support every step of the way.

  • Our support doesn't end after the consultation. We'll be there for you until your baby reaches 4 months old, ready to offer guidance and assistance whenever you need it, especially during those challenging four-month sleep regressions.

  • To track progress and make necessary adjustments, we’ll provide you with tools to monitor your child’s sleep pattern. This allows us to fine-tune the sleep plan as needed and ensures we’re on the path to achieving your family’s sleep goals.

  • In addition to personalised support during the sleep training programme, we provide a comprehensive bundle of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and follow-up documents. These resources are designed to address common baby sleep concerns and provide guidance as you navigate your child’s sleep journey beyond the programme.

have questions about sleep coaching for newborn? We’ve got them covered.

  • Newborns (0-6 weeks) typically sleep between 15-18 hours per day, with periods of awake windows lasting around 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Newborns lack a sense of day and night and require frequent feeding due to their tiny stomachs, regardless of the time. This common behaviour persists during the newborn stage, with feedings occurring every 2-4 hours.

  • Establishing good sleep hygiene early on can lay the groundwork for better sleep patterns later. While newborns cannot be sleep trained, creating a consistent bedtime routine can promote better sleep habits in the long run.

  • Yes, darkness promotes a restful state by stimulating the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep.

  • No, sleep training is not recommended for newborns. Priority should be given to ensuring proper feeding and sleep. However, instilling good habits from birth can help with achieving sleep goals in the long run.

  • No, the Cry it Out (CIO) method is not suitable for newborns. It is also not a method we subscribe to here at Night Night. At the newborn stage, we focus on instilling good habits while focusing on prioritising your baby’s feeding and sleep needs.

  • No, sleep training is not recommended for newborns, and therefore, concerns about psychological damage are not applicable at this stage. At the newborn stage, we look at implementing guidelines and instilling habits that foster healthy sleep hygiene.
